Robert Rodriguez Gets Interviewed by Cute Kids | Spy Kids: Armageddon

“Spy Kids: Armageddon” provided a refreshing change from the previous Spy Kids movie, with experienced actors playing the parents. The kids, though not professional, were better than in “We Are Heroes” but not quite on par with the original Spy Kids trilogy.

The plot showed promise, with a well-thought-out concept, but the villain’s development fell short. The end goal seemed odd, yet had potential for improvement.

In terms of CGI, the film relied heavily on green screen, but it was executed well, showing more effort than in previous installments.

The comedy was tailored for children, with occasional adult jokes like a 4/20 reference on the villain’s computer, unless unintentional.

Predictability was a downside, as the movie reused many jokes from the original films, making it highly predictable. Watching with a partner, predicting scenes was accurate about 90% of the time, making it somewhat challenging to enjoy.

In conclusion, “Spy Kids: Armageddon” is a fun watch for kids, and parents won’t find much to complain about. Even without kids, it’s worth a watch if there’s nothing better on Netflix.
